Apartment floor plans
In this section we give some examples of floor plans for homes or apartments drawn with the software tool Microsoft Visio to suit a range of different requirements. These free floor plans are a starter for users to help them to plan according to their own needs. Take the basic plans and adapt them to fit your own environment and particular requirements. Experiment by turning a spare bedroom into a study or the room at the back into a playroom. Take a dry run before you start decorating and buying furniture.
Apartment floor plan

This is a standard apartment floor plan for a single study bedroom without a washbasin. It envisages that bathrooms and kitchens are shared between one or more residents.
Standard apartment floor plan

This plan is for a single study bedroom with a washbasin. Bathrooms and kitchens are normally shared between one or more other residents.
Enhanced apartment floor plan

The floor plan of an enhanced single study bedroom with a washbasin. Normally bathrooms and kitchens should not be shared with more than seven residents to meet health and safety regulations.
Premium apartment floorplan

A floorplan for a larger single study bedroom with a washbasin and large single bed. Bathrooms and kitchens should be shared by no more than seven residents.
Ensuite apartment floor plan

Floor plans for single study bedrooms with ensuite facilities including shower, washbasin and toilet.
Premium ensuite apartment floor plan

Larger single study bedrooms with ensuite facilities comprising shower, washbasin and toilet. Premium ensuite rooms are normally for mature and postgraduate students only.
Studio flat floorplan

A studio flat floorplan, typically for mature and postgraduate students or young couples. Studio apartments feature an open kichen as a norm.
One bed apartment floor plan

A plan for a one-bedroom flat. This apartment floor plan is drawn with Microsoft Visio.
